When you think Kiwi candy, Pascall Pineapple Lumps will likely spring to mind. The chocolate-covered confection and its pillowy pineapple-flavoured centre are classic Kiwiana, and make a delicious treat when you're craving something sweet.
Last September, the confectionery company released its special-edition Peach Flavour Lumps that took lolly lovers by storm - and now, Pascall has put another twist on the tasty treat with Feijoa Flavour Lumps, which will hit supermarket shelves from Thursday.
Featuring the same chewy goodness of Pineapple Lumps, the chocolate-coated centre has been packed with the much-loved flavour of feijoa, a fruit that has been widely adopted by New Zealanders - despite being native to Brazil.
"Pascall Pineapple Lumps are among New Zealand's most favoured treats, but we think the new limited edition Pascall Feijoa Flavour Lumps may give them a run for their money," Mitch Newton of Pascall New Zealand said on Wednesday.
"We know how much Kiwis love their feijoas, so we thought we'd offer them a new twist on the sweet treat. Feijoa Flavour Lumps are perfect for sharing with family and friends. We can't wait to hear what Kiwis think of them."
The limited edition lumps are available in supermarkets, dairies and convenience stores nationwide while stocks last.
