AM hosts are unimpressed by an idea to reuse other people's supermarket bags.
The idea was put forward by a Facebook user to Australian supermarket company Woolworths about having a wall where people can grab and leave reusable shopping bags each time they shop.
Woolworths responded to the post saying they have passed the idea on to their suggestion team.
But fellow host Bernadine Oliver-Kerby was unimpressed by the idea.
"Love and hate because it's recycling right, but you don't know what's been in that bag, someone's sticky meat parcel that has leaked, fruit that has squashed," she said.
Tupou said you would check the bag before using it, but Oliver-Kerby disagreed saying "so you're going to go through the recycle bags and get fussy. Ew no, I'm a germaphobe, I can't do it".
"What if your chicken has leaked and you got all that chicken juice, ew, campylobacter here I come," Oliver-Kerby said.
Bridge was also unimpressed with the idea, questioning how it would work.
"I just don't understand how it would work because if you are forgetful then all the forgetful people will take the bags and then the really courteous people are meant to basically sort their lives out for them by providing extra bags."
Bridge also questioned whether there are more "useless people in the world or more courteous people in the world".
