If you're anything like me, ordering takeaways isn't so much a treat as it is a tribulation; perusing UberEats can quickly turn into an hour-long debate over the pros and cons of Hell's versus Burger Fuel, while disregarding all my boyfriend's exasperated suggestions.
When weighing up two equally tasty takeaways, sometimes you can't help but wish for an option that offered the best of both worlds - a concept Domino's is now delivering with the latest additions to its line-up.
Fresh from the oven, Domino's has today launched its brand-new Burger Joint range of pizzas, serving hot new takes on the classic cheeseburger and humble hamburger.
Loaded with staple ingredients such as beef burger pieces, American cheese, butter pickles and special burger sauce, the pizza bizz says the new range is designed to be delivered.
"We've taken almost 20 years of experience... and developed a burger specifically for the delivery generation," Domino's Australia New Zealand CEO David Burness said on Monday.
"No more soggy bread rolls. Domino's is bringing home the burger - on a pizza."
While burger-cum-pizzas aren't a new phenomenon, Domino's culinary innovation and development chef, Michael Treacy, says the new range aims to redefine the "burger experience" by capturing the beloved flavour in a more convenient and deliverable format; meaning you can wave goodbye to soggy buns and limp lettuce and say hello to a 'burger' that's not coming apart at the seams.
"We live in the Golden Age of Delivery and burgers have yet to catch up," Treacy said. "They're often cold or falling apart by the time they reach your door because they were simply never designed to be delivered.
"Our premium ingredients were carefully chosen for maximum burger goodness, while ensuring they could be delivered hot and fresh like a pizza. Delivered in a Domino's Hot Cell bag, this is everything you love about a great burger combined with everything you love about a great pizza, delivered so you can devour it in the comfort of your own home."

- Burger Joint Cheeseburger: all-beef burger pieces, American cheese slices, mozzarella and butter pickles topped with special burger sauce.
- Burger Joint Bacon Cheeseburger: all-beef burger pieces, American burger cheese slices, mozzarella, butter pickles and crispy bacon topped with special burger sauce.
- Burger Joint Hamburger: all-beef burger pieces, American burger cheese slices, red onion, fresh tomato, mozzarella and butter pickles finished with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup.
