There are few foodie pairings as delicious as chocolate and peanut butter, or chocolate and mint, or chocolate and hazelnut; but what about chocolate and... more chocolate?
To revamp the classic confection, KitKat is launching a new collaboration with the chocolatey, malty goodness of Milo - talk about an iconic duo.
Set to satisfy all sweet-tooths, the new 'KitKat packed with Milo' combines the classic crisp wafer and smooth milk chocolate with a delicious chocolate-flavoured malted fudge filling.
The new range will be available in three formats: KitKat packed with Milo Block (165g, RRP$3.70), KitKat packed with Milo Bar (45g, RRP$1.69) and KitKat Chunky packed with Milo (47g, RRP$1.69).
"We're delighted and proud to announce KitKat's biggest ever collaboration with KitKat packed with Milo," Nestlé Head of Marketing, Fern Castellanos, said in a statement.
"We know how passionate Kiwi KitKat lovers are, but especially about how they like to eat their KitKat. Similarly, Milo fans have their own unique ways of enjoying their hot or cold Milo.
"We can't wait to see how Kiwis enjoy [this new product]."
KitKat packed with Milo is available from mid-August at all major supermarkets nationwide.
Originally developed in Australia in the early 1930s, the malted powder product has been produced by Nestlé for almost 90 years. In 2020, the company launched a vegan, dairy-free alternative for plant-based Milo drinkers and in 2019, Nestlé reverted back to its original recipe after an ill-fated change to the classic ingredients four years prior.
KitKat packed with Milo isn't the first new iteration of the chocolate classic to arrive on our supermarket shelves this year. In June, KitKat Chunky with Lotus Biscoff officially launched in Aotearoa, combining the crisp, oven-baked wafer finger with the beloved biscuit spread.
