A man in India has been hospitalised after his friends played a drunken prank on him and shoved a metal cup up his rectum.
The man and his friends were partying in the city of Surat when the cup was shoved into his anus, local paper New Indian Express reported.
The 45-year-old was too embarrassed to tell anyone about the object lodged up there and was finally rushed to hospital by his family after he did not poop for ten days.
According to local reports, the cup was around 10cm in diameter and 15cm in length.
The man did attempt to remove the cup the following day but was unsuccessful.
New Indian Express reported that an X-ray taken in Berhampur City showed the cup was lodged in his intestine and doctors had to cut through the organ to remove it.
The man will stay in the hospital for a few days to be monitored but is likely to make a full recovery.
