Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she recently donned the shortest skirt she has worn in over a decade.
In an article for Goop, her lifestyle website, the Avengers star reflected on what she has learned about fashion and health in the lead-up to her 50th birthday on September 27.
When it comes to style, Paltrow insisted that the age-old advice of 'dressing your age' is an outdated concept.
"I don't think there are rules around when you stop wearing certain kinds of clothes at a particular age," she declared.
"I wore the shortest skirt I'd worn in 10 years just the other day. It was this old Chanel dress I found in the basement, and it worked. People should wear what they feel good in."
Elsewhere, Paltrow credited Ashtanga yoga and Tracy Anderson's exercise classes for keeping her in tip-top shape, as well as abiding by a "very clean diet".
"Last year, I cut down on alcohol and focused on lowering inflammation. What's turned out to be best for me is paleo, so I'm grain-free, sugar-free, eating lots of vegetables and clean protein," the mother-of-two continued.
"Lots of fish, lots of olive oil. It's fun that I get to do it with my husband (producer Brad Falchuk) - it works for him, too."
Paltrow and Falchuk married in 2018, two years after her divorce from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was finalised.
