An Australian influencer has clapped back at internet trolls who judged her for leaving her baby with her husband for two days.

Fitness influencer Ashy Bines faced backlash for leaving her four-month-old daughter and six-year-old son with her husband while she headed off on a girl's weekend.

In an Instagram post to her one million followers, Bines revealed she had received a slew of criticism for her decision, including a message from another mum telling her it was "so wrong" to leave her baby with their father for that long.

"I know judgment has come flying my way leaving her for 48 hours BUT hear me out," Bines wrote.

"I LOVE my baby but also LOVE my friends. I LOVE my baby but also love travel and variety. I LOVE my baby but also love doing fun things just for me."

The mum added she has full trust in her husband and knows the children are happy and safe.

Bines said she hoped her message would help other mothers understand that it's okay to enjoy other parts of your life - or just take a well-deserved break.

"If a dad went away for 48 hours he's never even questioned," she said.

"Let's be kind to one another and not project or send hate to another mum who's doing her thing. Might not feel right for you and that’s ok, we all do exactly what feels good for us."

Her post was met with a lot of support, amassing more than 400 comments.

"How dare you trust your own husband and leave your daughter with her own father. People are crazy or jealous. Enjoy your time," one person commented.

"This is why mums struggle so badly with guilt! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being away from your baby for a couple of days, god forbid they are left with their OTHER parent," another person commented.

"We are allowed to have a break and if anything, they allow us to be a better mum."
