A woman is in utter disarray after a lip tattoo went horrifically wrong.
The tattoo, which was supposed to be hidden on the inside of her lip, was instead inked on the outside - making it instantly visible.
Sharing her botched tattoo on the video-sharing platform TikTok, Wilma Hägglund screamed in tears after the word 'meow' was permanently inked on her bottom lip, rather than on the inside as intended.
In the video, a distraught Hägglund - who was in tears and covering her mouth - explained what she had asked the tattoo artist for.
She also showed the inspiration behind her idea; a photo of a person with the word 'meow' tattooed on the inside of their bottom lip. The footage then cuts to a photo of Hägglund and the new body art, emphasising her expectation versus the shocking reality.
The clip of the botched tattoo has since gone viral, amassing more than three million views. Many viewers have expressed their shock at how Hägglund failed to realise the wrong placement during the process.
"How could you not notice while he was doing it?" one said.
"There's just no way unless you were drunk or your tattoo artist."
Another pointedly asked if she was even awake for the tattoo.
"Were you passed out during? How do you not feel the placement difference? Didn't you have to hold your lip open?"
In a follow-up video, Hägglund revealed she has since received laser treatment to remove the blunder.
