Mark Wahlberg has laid out his new diet and fitness regime.
While speaking to the Wall Street Journal for an interview published on Monday, the action star revealed he had stripped back his previous routine.
In a 2018 interview with Event Magazine, it was revealed that Mark's then-regime began with a 2:30am start, a morning prayer and an hour-and-a-half workout, before breakfast consisting of oats, blueberries, peanut butter, and eggs, followed by a further seven meals and numerous workouts throughout the day.
Now, Wahlberg has reportedly toned down the intensity of his routine and allows himself a 3:30am or 4am start, while fasting for 18 hours every day.
He clarified his intermittent fasting schedule runs from 6pm to midday the following day and to suppress his appetite, he's started drinking espressos.
The 51-year-old told WSJ he now starts his day with vitamins and supplements including turmeric and vitamins C and D, rather than the previous protein-filled breakfast.
The actor said the new regime achieves "better results" and as a result spends less time in the gym and doing cardio.
He added that he functions best when he's "consistent with my routine", explaining, "Getting the right amount of rest, really staying focused. My spirituality, my faith has got to be the centre of it all."
