Pete Davidson is apparently dating Emily Ratajkowski, and the internet has a lot to say about it - insert memes here.

For the uninitiated, the Saturday Night Live comedian has quite the reputation for his dates and dalliances with beautiful women, notably Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande - to whom he was briefly engaged - Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber and now, Em-Rata - arguably one of the most gorgeous women on planet Earth.

Yes, he's tall - reportedly standing at an impressive 6'3" - a comedian, which means he must be somewhat funny, famous, and refreshingly candid about his battles with mental health, but how else is the self-proclaimed "diamond in the trash" bagging all these absolute babes?

According to a body language expert, the 28-year-old's magnetism can be largely attributed to his "powerful Alpha vibe", which makes him "like catnip" to Tinseltown's bevy of beautiful women.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, leading body language, social behaviour and communication expert Judi James also noted Davidson has cultivated a reputation for measuring his relationships "in months instead of years", making him an attractive option for A-listers looking for a rebound - in other words, a good time, not a long time.

"The way his relationships [are] without any painful, ego-crushing endings could make him the perfect 'fun and wild' therapy for any woman coming out of a painful divorce," James told the outlet.

James also noted that the comedian's illustrious love life may stem from his self-deprecating and "goofy" sense of humour, a refreshing quality in an industry brimming with ego, "toxic exes" and people who "take themselves too seriously".

"Pete's ability to crack great one-liners might be super-attractive, especially if he's bringing a toxic ex down to size," she told the Daily Mail.

"Pete is the guy with the goofy grin and the body language and fashion finesse of a party-loving teenager.

"Not only does Pete look like a man who is continually punching above his weight, he acts like it too with his body language. He tends to look star-struck in a very flattering way… when you see shots of Pete with his dates, it's usually the women instigating all the sexual signals while he just sits looking grateful for all the kisses and hugs.

"In a world of controlling exes this too could be like therapy for the women… The more beautiful a woman is, the more she tends to attract the arrogant narcissist. Pete looks like the opposite, which could be refreshing."

The expert also suspects Davidson's "edginess" could make him an attractive option to high-profile women who want to appear "edgy by association", noting that a sense of "sexiness and rebellion" has become a sought-after accessory in their red-carpeted world - think Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, or Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.

Another element contributing to Davidson's status as Hollywood's 'It Guy' could be his dating history itself, James told the Daily Mail. His now well-known penchant for successful and stunning women could be subconsciously piquing other stars' interest, through a lens of "fame-and-status-by-association". Having wooed the likes of Kim Kardashian, his former flames may be working in his favour when it comes to future dating prospects.

"Who would not be interested in dating the man who dated Kim Kardashian?" James added.

Not to mention, ex Ariana Grande famously touted the comedian as an example of "big d*** energy", with Kardashian later admitting talk of the comedian's sizable, um, appendage ultimately piqued her interest - so there's that too.

Last month, 81-year-old TV personality and celebrity cook Martha Stewart admitted she would consider dating the "sort of cute little twerp", with fellow 81-year-old Dionne Warwick jokingly tweeting on Tuesday that she will be "dating Pete Davidson next".

And in January, Davidson himself speculated about the reasons behind his popularity on Hollywood's dating scene, telling a comedy benefit concert that he was like a good movie that ends up in the discount bin at a 7-Eleven.

"I'm Tropic Thunder," he quipped, referencing the 2008 Ben Stiller flick. "I'm the diamond in the trash. It's a steal."

In July, Ratajkowski, 31, split from her husband of four years, Sebastian Bear-McClard, following claims the film producer was a "serial cheater".

Meanwhile, Davidson and Kardashian called time on their nine-month romance in August due to their conflicting schedules.
