Dame Valerie Adams has announced on social media that she and her husband Gabriel Price have separated.
The two-time gold Olympic gold medalist posted on Facebook and Instagram on Friday, announcing her separation from her husband.
"Gabriel and I have separated. While we are no longer together, we both remain entirely committed to our beautiful children," Dame Valerie said on social media.
"As with any breakup, it can be emotional and difficult so I do ask that you please respect the privacy of my family during this time."
Dame Valerie and Price, who were childhood friends, married in April 2016 at a Mormon ceremony in Hamilton.
The pair have two children together, five-year-old daughter Kimoana and a three-year-old son Kepaleli.
