If you're getting new timber kitchen cabinetry with a textured grain, painting or staining it black creates a modern look and enhances the texture beautifully. Use Resene paint or Resene Woodsman stains to achieve this look or paint over old cabinets by cleaning, sanding down and then applying Resene Smooth Surface Primer, followed by two coats of your chosen paint.
