Influencer Liana Jade breaks down in tears after trolls make fun of son's name

An influencer and mother has sobbed to fans as she candidly spoke about trolls attacking her new baby's unique name online.

Liana Jade and partner Connor excitedly shared the news of their newborn baby and his name, Koazy, last July.

However, things took a turn when the internet didn't share the love for their son's distinctive name.

Jade shared a TikTok crying to her followers and lamenting the criticism of her son's name after watching an episode of The Unplanned Podcast by American YouTubers, Matt and Abby.

The pair were discussing the rise of unusual baby names, branding them "ridiculous" and "out of control".

"I'm gonna be honest with you, it does kind of bug me some of the names that are out there nowadays... you know your child is going to grow up, be an adult and potentially work in a professional setting," Abby said in the clip.

While the pair did not directly address 'Koazy', the name was brought up as an example in the comments section by viewers, which spiralled into a bigger discussion criticising the name.

In an emotional video to eight million followers, Jade addressed the backlash and shared her thoughts on the episode of Matt and Abby's podcast.

"It's really upset me. I knew everyone wasn't going to love the name but it's just different when there's this comments section open on a big influencer's video - people, fully grown adults, just sat there slandering my baby's name," she said.

In the clip, Jade said the origin of their son's name had been taken out of context, with people since claiming the couple had named him Koazy as a reference to being "cozy in the womb".

She confirmed this was not the case and that she and Connor had already decided on the name prior to her being visibly pregnant.

Matt and Abby have since disabled the comments on their YouTube video.

Influencer and former Love Island contestant Molly Mae Hague, who is also a new mother to daughter Bambi, responded to Jade's emotional video with the encouraging message: "All that matters is that you and your partner love the name!"

The tweet received 34,000 likes, with more positive comments supporting Jade flooding in.
