Pineapple Lump lovers, rejoice - there's a new treat in town, but for a limited time only.
The classic confectionery has been reimagined once again, combining the much-loved lump with the crisp crunch of hokey pokey, another Kiwi favourite - all wrapped in a delish dark chocolate coating. Introducing, Pascall Hokey Pokey Flavour Lumps.
But the latest twist on the iconic treat may reignite an age-old debate that has long divided confectionery connoisseurs across Aotearoa: what is the best way to enjoy Pascall's Lumps?
While some prefer soft, chewy and straight from the bag, others argue that freezing the lumps for maximum crunch is the only way - and both will die on their respective hills.
Pascall is anticipating the new hokey pokey iteration will once again have sweet-tooths chewing over the best method of enjoying the treat.
"Whether it's home-made honeycomb or Hokey Pokey ice cream, Hokey Pokey is known as an iconic Kiwi treat so we're really excited for New Zealanders to try our take on this flavour with our new Pascall Hokey Pokey Flavour Lumps," Nicola Robertson of Pascall New Zealand said in a statement on Tuesday.
"We know loyal Pascall and hokey pokey fans will have strong opinions on how to best enjoy this new treat when sharing a pack with their family and friends. Chewy or crunchy - we want to hear what they think."
It's not the first time Pascall has mashed up two unique flavours to create a new take on the classic lump, with previous iterations including L&P Lumps, Snifters Lumps, Perky Nanas Lumps, Feijoa Lumps, Peach Lumps, Jaffas Lumps, and even Boysenberry Ripple Lumps.
Pascall Hokey Pokey Flavour Lumps are available for a limited time at your supermarkets, dairies and petrol stations.
