In the words of one Carrie Bradshaw: "Hello, lovers."
It's a line that has become synonymous with shoeaholics everywhere: then, there was the slightly less relatable, "I've spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live?" To be fair, we are in a cost of living crisis.
With spring on the horizon, footwear is slowly shuffling towards brighter, lighter styles. Mules, loafers, slingbacks, Mary Janes and yes, clogs, have been shoewear staples of the northern summer, while sparkly accents and bright hues were seen strutting along the Spring/Summer 2023 runaways earlier this year. Here, chunky moto boots and stompers - think black, buckles and leather - are still pounding the pavement, but the tastemakers are beginning to transition.
While it may be a little too chilly to bare your feet in ballet flats, this transitional style has also seen a resurgence this year with no sign of slowing down: extra points for Y2K-esque bows or diamante embellishments.
With that being said, here's a wrap of the shoes Newshub Lifestyle is currently obsessing over.
