Griffin's has confirmed social media speculation that its Golden Fruit and Apricot Fruit Finger biscuits have been discontinued.
Kiwis this week were expressing confusion online about why the biscuits had seemingly disappeared from the shelves.
"I've been looking everywhere and can't find them either," one person said on Reddit.
"I was wondering where the f**k both of these went," another wrote.
"Omg these... were my favourite as a child," said another. "I keep looking for them, but as I basically only shop at one place, they keep not being in stock."
A Griffin's spokesperson has since confirmed to Newshub both of the biscuits have been discontinued.
The Apricot Fruit Fingers placed 25th in The Spinoff's All 142 biscuit flavours ranked from worst to best in 2020, while Golden Fruit placed 84th.
For those looking for alternatives after hearing the sad news, social media has you covered.
"Not 100 percent the same, but this is similar," a Reddit user said, linking to Slavica Bakery-branded Crunchy Sultana Biscuits.
As an alternative to Fruit Fingers, health food company Orgran sells Fruit-Filled Apricot Biscuits.
