The Kardashian clan are no strangers to being scrutinised on social media: from photoshopping their own children to The Case of the Sixth Toe, eagled-eyed internet sleuths are known to take no prisoners in picking apart Kardashian content for any hint of a faux pas.
The latest offender? A very heavily pregnant Kourtney Kardashian, with followers taking a little too much delight in pointing out a seemingly dirty detail in the background of her recent photos.
The 44-year-old, who is expecting her fourth child, shared a series of sultry snaps to her Instagram last week that showcased her prominent baby bump in a black netted dress and bikini set.
But several sleuths were more interested in the setting of Kardashian's photoshoot - primarily, the bed featured in the background - and the stains that seemingly adorned its large cream-coloured headboard. Ah, celebrities - they're just like us.
Talk of the dirty headboard spilled over onto Reddit, where several people began dissecting the source of the stains. One slammed the headboard as "nasty", noting that they couldn't understand how the dark smears were overlooked in a family known to be fans of Photoshop.
"Kourtney really posted her filthy headboard for the world to see," one said, with the other adding: "For a family so obsessed with how they're perceived and photoshopping literally everything they post, I'm so surprised this made the cut - nasty."
"Could be the kids' dirty feet. They like to play and get dirty then put their feet all over the walls while they watch iPad and eat Cheetos," a third weighed in.
Others pointed out the oversight on the post itself, with one writing: "That headboard needs to be cleaned" - a comment that has since amassed over 400 likes.
"This is all I could focus on," another replied, with a third adding: "That headboard is disgusting."
Fans of the star were quick to defend her against the housekeeping criticism, with one hitting back: "My God, she is human, just like the rest of us."
Meanwhile, many others called on Kardashian to address the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict that is unfolding in the Middle East.
The reality TV star is currently pregnant with her fourth child - her first with husband and Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. She already shares Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, seven, with her former partner Scott Disick.
Barker, 47, is father to Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
It's understood the headboard in question is from a bedroom inside the star's US$20 million mansion in Calabasas, California, where she has reportedly been spending most of her time during the final trimester of her pregnancy.
Kardashian hasn't disclosed her due date but previously hinted she would be giving birth between October and December.
