A high school teacher in the US has been suspended after school officials - and reportedly students - discovered her pornographic OnlyFans account.
Brianna Coppage, a 28-year-old mother-of-two and English teacher, was confronted by two administrators and put on leave from St Clair High School in Missouri last week after the school district was notified that "an employee may have posted inappropriate media on one or more internet sites".
Coppage, who shared X-rated content on the subscription-based site under the alias Brooklin Love, told local news outlet the St Louis Post-Dispatch she has "no regrets" and has resigned herself to the fact that she will likely never teach again following the district's investigation.
"It was kind of always like this cloud hanging over my head, like I never knew when I would be discovered," she told the Missouri paper. "Then, about two weeks ago, my husband and I were told that people were finding out about it. So, I knew this day was coming.
"I'm very aware that I am probably never going to teach again, but that was kind of the risk I knew I was taking. I am sad about that. I do miss my students."
Coppage said she believes her extracurricular activities were discovered after she and her husband collaborated with two other creators, both of whom have substantial online followings, in a pornographic video. She said she suspects the tip-off was made to the school following the video's publication.
The English teacher said she recently joined the adult subscription site to supplement her US$42,000 (NZ$71,000) teaching salary, claiming she can make between US$8000 and $10,000 in additional income each month with her raunchy performances.
She told the Post-Dispatch she chose OnlyFans to host her content as she believed its subscription model would help protect her identity: to view content users are required to subscribe with a credit card and must be aged 18 and over.
Coppage has since insisted her porn career was "complete separate" from her day-to-day teaching job, adding that none of her content was filmed on the school grounds. She was in her second year of teaching at the high school and began her career in 2018 after graduating from university.
She added that students only discovered her account after the anonymous tip-off of an employee sharing "inappropriate media" was made to school officials, which eventually was made public knowledge.
"I truly believe had an adult not found it, and I was told that an adult is who reported it, students never would have known," she told the outlet following her suspension.
"I know it can be taboo, or some people may believe that it is shameful, but I don't think sex work has to be shameful. I do just wish things happened in a different way."
Coppage has no plans to put an end to her porn career, with her headline-grabbing suspension garnering her an influx of new followers. Her husband is not facing disciplinary action with his employer.
A statement from the school's superintendent Kyle Kruse said: "The district has engaged legal counsel to conduct a comprehensive investigation into this matter.
"Actions taken as a result of the investigation will be in accordance with board policy and with guidance from legal counsel."
