In perhaps one of the more surprising collaborations of the year, fast-food and footwear giants McDonald's and Crocs have teamed up to drop a new collection of clogs and Jibbitz charms for their most loyal fans.
Three of the four styles are inspired by McDonald's characters Grimace, Birdie and Hamburglar, while the fourth pair are a more traditional ode to the fast-food institution with the classic Macca's colours.
Fans can get their feet in the limited-edition launch from Wednesday, November 8, with the collection exclusively sold in New Zealand via Platypus or the 'Croc-Thru' pop-up at McDonald's Britomart, which will be open from 9am to 7pm Wednesday to Friday.
"We're constantly blown away by the way our fans show off their love for McDonald's, and as it turns out, Crocs' fanbase is just as passionate," said Luke Rive, director of marketing at McDonald's New Zealand.
"We're excited to team up with Crocs - another brand that's deeply embedded in culture - on our first-ever global shoe collab that absolutely fuels the shared brand love.
"Like McDonald's beloved characters, Crocs are a part of many of our consumers' earliest and often most memorable moments. Together, we're bringing that nostalgia to new generations with experiences around the world that are as bold and audacious as our fans."
Each of the four styles can be customised with a new range of Jibbitz charms, which include a Big Mac, McNuggets, a shake, fries and of course, the classic golden-arched M. Other limited-edition Jibbitz are included with certain styles.
If you're planning on super-sizing your next order with a pair, be prepared for a less-palatable price-tag: the five-pack of Jibbitz alone are $50, while the four styles range from $149.99 to $159.99 - a little bit more than a Big Mac.
If these quirky clogs are up your alley (or should that be drive-thru?), here's a look at what you can expect from the collection.
Did you want fries with that?
