Red Band gumboots - not red carpets - are usually all the talk down on the farm, but on Monday, Canterbury's Flock Hill Station could be a talking point in Hollywood.
Winners at the Golden Globe Awards could end up flocking to Arthur's Pass in Canterbury for a luxury stay.
Nestled underneath the Southern Alps is the lavish Flockhill Lodge, built in 2022 on a historic sheep station. A stay at the retreat can cost as much as $18,000 a night.
"It's a real high country, Canterbury experience - but very much to the luxury level," Flockhill Lodge manager Andrew Cullen told Newshub.
The lodge is attracting plenty of international attention, including from those tasked with curating the goodie bags for the Golden Globes.
The winners will receive a prize-pack worth NZ$800,000, and three will include a stay at Flockhill Lodge.
"From a few different angles we got approached. We are the only lodge in Australasia to be part of it, which is very exciting," Cullen said.
For those who helped build the vision, capturing A-list attention is exciting.
"I think this site, in terms of my opinion, is one of the most significant sites of beauty I've ever worked on," Warren and Mahoney South Island design head Jonathan Coote said.
"You just don't get too many opportunities like this," he added.
With Barbie and Oppenheimer topping the nominations list, their high-profile stars could potentially be heading to the retreat for a few nights of luxury - and getting their hands dirty.
"There's nothing manufactured - guests, no matter who they are, will be moving sheep, they'll have six dogs with them, they'll learn how to use a dog whistle," Cullen said.
"I just finished watching Maestro, and I thought Bradley Cooper was absolutely incredible," Coote added. "I'd be quite happy for him to visit and pop up for a glass of wine with him, perhaps."
"Whoever decides to take it up, we'll welcome them the same as any other staying guests," Cullen said.
Among the star-studded guests, the South Island's class act is also set to be on show at the Golden Globes.
