Chocolate loves beware: Krispy Kreme has brought its Chocomania range to Aotearoa.
"For the first time our beloved classic dough recipe has been transformed into a scrumptious choc base, adding an extra layer of indulgence to every bite," said Olivia Sutherland, chief marketing officer at Krispy Kreme ANZ.
The Chocomania range has been added to all Krispy Kreme stores throughout Auckland but will only be available until May 27.
It includes four doughnuts described by Krispy Kreme as follows:
- Choc Indulgence
Glazed choc doughnut, dipped in choc ganache, swirled with Choc Kreme, topped with choc fudge pieces and drizzled with milk choc ganache - Choc Caramel Crunch
Glazed choc doughnut, dipped in choc ganache, sprinkled with Salted Caramel Inclusions and drizzled with caramel truffle - Triple Choc Delight
Glazed choc doughnut, dipped in white truffle, sprinkled with milk choc cereal clusters and drizzled with milk choc ganache - Double Choc Iced
Glazed choc doughnut, dipped in smooth choc ice
Krispy Kreme opened its first New Zealand store in 2018 in Manukau. As a major US doughnut and coffee chain in Aotearoa, it competes with the likes of Dunkin' Donuts and Southern Maid Donuts.
The first-ever Krispy Kreme originated in 1937 in North Carolina, US, where the recipe for the iconic original glazed doughnut was created.
