If you own an Android mobile phone and think there aren't enough faecal sound effects during your phone conversations, you're in luck.
According to screenshots of the upcoming version of the Phone by Google app, 'audio emojis' will be added including the poo emoji, which emits a fart sound when pushed.
Google is inviting people to try the first six audio emojis before they're released widely by joining its beta testing programme.
After installing the test new version of the app, an Android user simply needs to call someone and then touch the audio emoji button to pull up the options.
When one is touched, an animation accompanies the sound effect that reportedly plays for a few seconds for everyone on the call.
The six audio emojis include:
- Clapping hands (applause)
- Tears of joy (laughter)
- Party popper (party noises)
- Crying face (womp womp/sad trombone)
- Poo (fart)
- Drum (sting/ba dum tss).
If the joke gets old, users can disable audio emojis on their device - however, it appears one cannot currently disable incoming audio emojis. This means even when you find fart sound effects childish and annoying, you'll be subjected to them if the person you're talking to pushes the button - in which case you could just hang up on them, and maybe permanently block them.
