Happy Hump Day, everyone: M&M's newest flavour, Cookie Dough, has finally hit supermarket shelves in Aotearoa.
It comes after the bite-sized treats launched across the ditch in January, with several Aussie content creators taking to social media to review the latest take on the classic candy.
The cookie-filled confections contain a morsel of traditional dough, coated in milk chocolate and housed in the signature crispy shell. They will join the rest of M&M's lineup, which spans M&M's Milk Chocolate, M&M's Peanut, M&M's Crispy, and M&M's Brownie.
In a statement on Wednesday, Mars New Zealand sales and marketing director Shane Hammond said the new flavour has become one of the most popular ever following their worldwide debut in Australia.
"We are thrilled to bring this flavour-packed delight to Kiwi shores," Hammond added.
"We believe M&M'S Cookie Dough will be a fan favourite, providing consumers with a fun textual eating experience. It's already my new go-to treat to share with friends and family."
To celebrate the New Zealand launch, M&M's has partnered with the popular Huapai bakehouse Just Jess Boujee Bakery to create a limited-edition, chunky "NYC cookie" peppered with the new M&M's flavour.
The cookies will be available in store at Just Jess Boujee Bakery from Thursday, May 30 to Thursday, June 13; each customer will also receive a free bag of Cookie Dough M&Ms while stocks last.
M&M's Cookie Dough are now available from Woolworths, Pak'nSave, New World and leading independent retailers and convenience stores.
M&M's are the flagship product of Mars Wrigley, which also manufactures the likes of Snickers, Maltesers, Extra, and Skittles.
