Winter fashion 2024: Wearable staples to refresh your winter wardrobe

There's a chill in the air, the trees are bare, and it's taking three-to-five business days for the condensation to clear from my car windows, which can only mean one thing: winter is nigh upon us.

With the cooler weather in full swing, now's the time to consider refreshing your wardrobe for the winter season. We're talking wearable staples that are stylish yet functional - after all, goosebumps aren't exactly an accessory.

In every capsule winter wardrobe, my belief is there should be at least these three items: a classic coat or jacket, versatile cosy knitwear, and a chic, weather-appropriate dress - ideally one that can be taken from day to night.

Whether you want to save or splurge on these items is up to you, but there's something to be said for investing in good-quality, timeless pieces that can be worn for winters to come.
