A solo female traveller has hit out at a popular New Zealand tourist town, claiming she was looked at "like a piece of meat" while there.
TikToker 'Mia', who goes by the username @mmm.flo, expressed her shock in a video from her campervan after arriving in Queenstown.
"I just got to Queenstown and this f***ing place is thirsty. Like, what's wrong with these boys? They look at me like a piece of meat. Like, it's scary."
Many Kiwis reacted defensively in the comments, with one person criticising Mia as "up yourself" while others noted that Queenstown is predominantly foreigners.
"You could always drive away, heard Invercargill's nice this time of year," one wrote.
The Polish-British woman has been sharing videos of her adventures across New Zealand and Australia while on a working holiday visa, offering tips and showing off beautiful sights from various campgrounds.
Mia has also documented the trials and tribulations of living in New Zealand, including one video where she said New Zealand is the hardest place to make friends while travelling.
In another video she expressed her surprise at the use of sirens to call volunteer firefighters to action.
"What if they're away and they can't hear it?... Don't you just text people that there's a fire in the village, could you come over?"
