Popular blender accessories are being recalled around Aotearoa due to a possibly dangerous defect.

In a recall notice issued on Tuesday, Product Safety New Zealand said anyone who owns the Vitamix Ascent Series Blender accessories should stop using them immediately.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) agency warned the container can separate from the base, exposing the blades and potentially leading to lacerations.
