Auckland property prices have continued their rise according to the city's largest real estate company.
Figures from Barfoot and Thompson show that the average June sales price was up 3.9 percent to $908,343. The median prices was up 3.7 percent to $839,500.
This follows little change in average prices for April and May.
Managing Director Peter Thompson says: "The moderate increases in the average sales and median prices are a measure of a very tight supply situation."
The number of new listings and volume of sales were slightly up on last year's record June figures, but followed the usual seasonal pattern compared to May with listings down 7 percent and sales down 10 percent.
Barfoot and Thompson says it sells around one in every three Auckland residential homes.
Statistics from Quotable Value for the last three months of nationwide residential sales are due out at midday today.
