New Zealand Post is trialling a new service for online shoppers, who can pay once to get an unlimited number of purchases with no further fees for delivery.
Called Shipmate, the concept is limited to participating online retailers and is initially being offered in conjunction with The Warehouse and its brands, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming and Torpedo 7.
For an up-front payment, shoppers won't have to pay again - for two months, at least.
The initial deal costs $12, and there's a weight limit of 25kg and a size limit of 0.125 cubic metres. The package must not have a value of more than $2000.
The other catch, for now, is that it's for the North Island only - and only to non-rural addresses.
