Fuel truck drivers are extending their partial strike out even further after a failed bid.
First Union is pushing for SouthFuels drivers to get time-and-a-quarter after 50 hours a week of work. Drivers are not working overtime until the pay dispute has been solved.
Spokesperson Justin Wallace says their demands are in line with the industry standard.
"The last offer we came to them with was about $5 an hour after 50, and they haven't agreed to that. Previously we had a verbal agreement that they were going to look at $3 an hour."
He says drivers don't want to put the company "under stress", but has heard the company is having to "juggle" rosters to cover the lack of overtime.
"I honestly feel - and so do the members and so do a lot of the public - that what these guys are wanting for the hours they work is not unreasonable."
