A lucky Hamiltonian is taking home Saturday's $16.5 million Lotto Powerball First Division win.
The winning ticket was sold in Hamilton on MyLotto and is made up of $16 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.
Saturday's winner is the 11th Powerball win this year and comes just one month after an Auckland player won $12.3 million.
Lotto says the winner "couldn't believe his luck" and is "looking forward to setting his family up for the future."
Another player from Tauranga will be celebrating after winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division tonight. The ticket was sold at Paper Plus Mt Maunganui in Tauranga.
Strike Four was also won on Saturday by a player from Spring Creek, who took home $200,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Spring Creek Four Square in Spring Creek.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of their ticket and check it at any Lotto NZ outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.
The last big win was only on Wednesday, a lucky Christchurch player taking home $1 million in Lotto's first division, their ticket was sold at Countdown Ferrymead. Strike four was also won by a Waikato winner who scored $200,000.
Last Saturday a player from Mount Maunganui also got a first division win of $1 million.
A larger jackpot was won right before Mothers Day - a lucky Auckland player scooping up $12.3 million.
The winning ticket was sold at Hylite Dairy in Grey Lynn, Auckland. It was made up of $12 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.
They were the 10th Powerball winner of the year winning just three weeks after a player snatched $14.25 million with Powerball First Division.
