MyLotto's online site left the public frustrated after experiencing issues ahead of Saturday's massive draw.
Tonight will see a $20 million Powerball and $1 million first division prize up for grabs.
But on Saturday night, multiple people said they are unable to buy tickets online.
"Hey Lotto NZ, what's up with your website? Can log in but can't purchase any tickets...... Not good enough aye?" one person commented on Lotto's Facebook page.
"For the biggest draw this is ridiculous - only 1.5 hours till it closes and then what everyone misses out?" another asked.
With sales supposed to close at 7:30pm tonight, another asked if they needed to go and buy one at a shop.
"Lotto - please tell me if your site is going to be fixed before 7:30pm tonight. Otherwise I need to get in the car & start driving!!!" they wrote.
Lotto responded to one person on Facebook saying: "We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused."
"We are having an issue with MyLotto online at the moment but rest assured, we are working hard on getting a solution ASAP. Thank you for your patience at this time."
Lotto confirmed tickets are still available in store. In a latter comment, it said the problems should be fixed.
" Rest assured our team was straight onto it as soon as the issue became known and all should be up and running again now."
