Eight Lotto players claim over $27k - here's where the winning tickets were sold

An Auckland Lotto player is now $10.5 million richer after winning Wednesday's draw while eight people were victorious in second division. 

The winning Powerball first division ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player in Auckland. 

Lotto said the prize is made up of $10 million from Powerball first division and $500,000 from Lotto first division.

"Tonight's winner is the fourth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023, and the win comes just over two weeks after an $8.5 million Powerball prize was won by an Auckland couple. The couple are looking forward to helping their children with their win."

Eight Lotto players will also be celebrating after each winning $27,775 with second division.

The winning tickets were purchased at MyLotto in Auckland, Hamilton, Dunedin and Invercargill, Smile Supermarket in Highbrook, Auckland, Pak'nSave Kilbirnie, Wellington and Fresh Choice Queenstown.

Another player will be celebrating too after taking home $500,000 with Lotto first division. 

"The winning ticket was at Motorua Four Square in New Plymouth."

A Lotto Strike player will be jumping with joy too after winning $300,000 with Strike Four. 

"The winning Strike ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Nelson."

Lotto is encouraging anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores to check it as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App.
