A Tauranga Lotto player's short Easter week would've been made a whole lot better after winning $1 million with Lotto's First Division on Wednesday.
In a statement on Wednesday evening, a Lotto spokesperson said the winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player in Tauranga.
The spokesperson said Powerball was not struck on Wednesday night and will roll over to Saturday night, "where the jackpot will be $10 million".
Sixteen lucky Lotto players will also be celebrating after each winning $12,543 with Lotto Second Division.
Two lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $18,958. The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland and a player in Nelson.
The winning Second Division tickets were sold at the following stores:

- Paper Plus Pukekohe - Auckland
- MyLotto - New Plymouth
- MyLotto - Whanganui
- MyLotto (x9) - Nelson
- MyLotto (+PB) - Nelson
- Naresh Foodstore - Christchurch.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores is urged to check it as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App.
Strike Four also rolled over on Wednesday night and will be $300,000 on Saturday night.
