Two lucky Lotto players from Picton and Otago will be celebrating tonight after each winning $500,000 with Lotto's First Division in Wednesday night's draw.
The winning tickets were sold at Four Square Picton and on MyLotto to a player from Otago.
Powerball was not struck on Wednesday evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $17 million.
Meanwhile, a lucky Strike player from Mount Maunganui will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Strike Four. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Bayfair Lotto.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores or on MyLotto is urged to check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App.
Wednesday night's draw comes after an "occasional" Porirua Lotto player experienced a "surreal feeling" when he won $1 million in the First Division draw at the weekend.
"Watching the number roll down and match the ones on my ticket one by one," the man who didn't want to be identified said.
"By the time I had four numbers, I started laughing, and when all six matched, I thought, 'hang on, there's something wrong with my phone'."
The man said he stared at his phone for 20 minutes in disbelief when a pop-up read 'You've won $1,000,000!'.
