Lotto's Powerball jackpot continues to rise with a staggering $26 million up for grabs on Saturday night.
Earlier this week, a Lotto player from Auckland took home $200,000 after winning Strike Four, while 22 lucky Lotto players each won $15,805 with Second Division on Wednesday.
Two players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $27,908.
But no one won the big Powerball prize, which continues to grow. There's also $1 million up for grabs tonight in first division, and $200,000 in Strike.
Ticket sales close tonight at 7:30pm - so get in quick.
The last big win was in June, when a Christchurch couple took home a massive $33.5 million.
The couple, whose identities remain secret, took more than a week to claim their winnings after the draw.
The woman said she and her partner were "overwhelmed by the magnitude of the win" and needed some time to process it.
They kept their $33.5 million ticket hidden in a sock drawer, which was "nerve-wracking" knowing how much was sitting there.
"I kept thinking, 'Goodness, I better make sure the iron is turned off' every time I went out!" said the woman.
Now they've claimed their prize, the couple is looking forward to investing in their future.
"This will help us set up our family for generations to come. It is also enough for us to help community causes we care about over the long term and make a lasting difference - and that is what we are focused on," the man said.
