Three lucky Lotto players will be celebrating a midweek windfall after each winning $333,333 in First Division on Wednesday night.
The winning numbers were 13, 40, 35, 14, 4, and 34 and the bonus ball is 15. Powerball is 7. The winning tickets were sold at Pak'nSave Silverdale in Auckland and on MyLotto to players from Auckland and Nelson.
Powerball was not struck on Wednesday and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $33 million.
Strike Four also rolled over and will be $700,000 on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, 15 lucky players will be toasting a special win after each claiming $28,954 in Lotto Second Division on Wednesday.
Two lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $44,212.
The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Meadowlands Lotto in Auckland and Bayfair Lotto in Mt Maunganui.
The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Auckland, Waikato, Mt Maunganui, Gisborne, Hastings, Napier and Whanganui.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a spokesperson said.
With Powerball skyrocketing to $33 million on Saturday night, Lotto is urging players to get in early by picking up a ticket before draw day or early on Saturday, to avoid the busiest times both in-store and online.
The last giant win was in June when a lucky Christchurch couple banked $33.5 million. They kept their ticket in a sock drawer for more than a week before claiming their prize.
"I kept thinking, 'Goodness, I better make sure the iron is turned off' every time I went out" said the woman.
It was Aotearoa New Zealand's third-biggest Powerball win ever.
