A lucky Lotto player from Auckland will be toasting a special win after winning $4.5 million with Powerball First Division on Wednesday night.
The winning ticket was sold at Countdown Botany in Auckland with the prize made up of $4 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.
The winning numbers were 6, 11, 13, 28, 36, and 40. The bonus ball was 32 and powerball was 1.
Wednesday night's winner was the fourteenth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023, and comes just days after a $6 million Powerball prize was won in Napier.
One other lucky Lotto player will also be celebrating after winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division on Wednesday night. The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Wellington.
Strike Four has rolled over and will be $700,000 on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, eight players will be on cloud nine after each winning $23,174 with Second Division on Wednesday night.
The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Albany, Auckland, Hamilton, Ōtorohanga, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Central Otago and Temuka.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from the above store or on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
