A lucky Auckland Lotto player has had a thrilling end to the year after winning $12.2 million with Powerball First Division on Saturday night.
The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
The prize is made up of $12 million from Powerball First Division and $200,000 from Lotto First Division.
The winning numbers were 10, 15, 17, 25, 33 and 38. The bonus ball was 30 and powerball was 7.
Saturday night's winner is the nineteenth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023, and comes just weeks after an $8.25 million Powerball prize was won by a couple from Otago.
Four other lucky players will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Lotto First Division. The winning tickets were sold at Whitcoulls New Lynn in Auckland, New World Rototuna in Hamilton, Four Square Ruatoria in Ruatoria, and Pak'nSave Petone in Lower Hutt.
Strike Four has rolled over and will be $400,000 on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, 27 lucky Lotto players will be jumping for joy after each winning $14,663 with Second Division on Saturday night.
Two lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $28,463. The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at London Superette in Auckland, and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Whangārei, Auckland, Hamilton, Te Awamutu, New Plymouth, Whanganui, Masterton, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Wakefield, Blenheim, Westport, Christchurch, Ashburton, Ōamaru, Roxburgh and Dunedin.
Lotto NZ's Christmas promotion was also drawn on Saturday night and three more lucky Kiwis will be heading into 2024 as millionaires. The winning tickets were sold at Māngere Stationery & Post in Auckland, Andrew Spence Pharmacy in Napier and on MyLotto to an Auckland player.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
