Customers in Auckland and Whangarei were frustrated after a network issue left them without broadband for an hour.
Contact Energy experienced a network outage on Monday causing customers to take to social media to vent their frustrations.
"Contact Energy broadband is down, and I've been on hold for 45 minutes now… This is very frustrating," one person said.
"It is pretty slack that it's impossible to find out what is going on and why there is no internet," another said.
Contact Energy's head of customer experience Bryan Middleton told Newshub the broadband service was impacted by a network outage on Monday.
"Unfortunately, this disrupted our broadband service for customers in Auckland and Whangarei for about an hour. The issue was quickly picked up and resolved," Middleton said.
"We apologise to any customers impacted by the issue."
