A lucky Lotto winner who scored themself $57 million ($USD36 million) has now ended up with nothing after not claiming their winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased from a supermarket in Jacksonville, Florida.
However, the chance to collect the money expired once the midnight deadline on Sunday passed without the owner coming forward.
The winner was given 180 days to claim the life-changing prize.
Mega Millions and the Florida Lottery reminded those in the area who purchased tickets from the supermarket to double-check that the big win wasn't their own ahead of the expiration date.
However, the opportunity to become a millionaire dispersed yesterday as the deadline ticked over.
The now-expired jackpot was announced on August 15 last year with the numbers 18, 39, 42, 57, 63 for the white balls and 7 for the Mega Ball.
The chances of winning a Mega Millions jackpot stand at one in over 302 million.
