Six lucky lotto players are splitting Wednesday night's million-dollar win, each taking home $166,667 in Lotto First Division.

The winners bought their tickets from Bayfair Lotto in Mount Manganui, BP Mairehau in Christchurch and on MyLotto to players from Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin.

But someone from Tasman did claim Powerball's Second Division, taking their total winnings to $35,202. They bought their ticket at MyLotto.

There will also be 75 extra prizes of $10,000 cash up for grabs with Lotto NZ's Mother's Day promotion. All Triple Dip tickets bought between April 28 and 7.30pm on May 18 will be in the draw to win.
