When a plane goes down in Antarctica, he is the man who leads the search; when a tramper is lost in Fiordland, he is likely to be first to the scene.
But if you want to make a television piece about him, there’s a problem: Hannibal Hayes never plays ball. Well, almost never. There is one person he can’t refuse.
