The treasured stained glass memorial window in the Christchurch Arts Centre's Great Hall has been restored – all 3600 pieces of it.
The centrepiece window, which was was damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes, commemorates Canterbury University staff and students who fought in World War I.
The individual pieces of glass were removed and restored before being reset and future-proofed against earthquakes should there be another one.
The window will be open to the public early next year.
