Two women were injured after a car collided with a motorway barrier in Auckland this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the motorway near Stanley St around 3am.
The driver of the car, which had five occupants, lost control of the vehicle and collided with the barrier on the motorway, causing the car to go on its side, before landing back on its wheels.
One passenger suffered a head injury and was taken to Auckland Hospital, while another suffered a serious injury to one of her arms and was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
The motorway onramp was closed while an examination took place but has now reopened.
