Police are at Pukehina, south of Tauranga, where a light plane has hit the ground and rolled.
Police initially said there were three occupants, however it's since been confirmed there was only one person on board the aircraft.
Police are investigating to make sure the pilot is okay, although there is nothing to suggest he has been injured.
