A wooden box containing a man's ashes has been identified, after it was handed in to police in Christchurch last week.
The small wooden box, which had a photograph of a man on the front, was given to Hornby police.
Police put a call out to the wider public to help identify the man and as a result, he has been identified. Police are in the process of returning the ashes to his family.
