There's been a lucky escape in Putaruru, Waikato on Wednesday night for a man who fell a great height from a tree after climbing up to recover a rugby ball.
Waikato's Westpac Rescue Helicopter took the 21-year-old to hospital with a broken jaw and a cut to his head.
He fell nine metres to the ground, hitting several branches on the way down.
