An 11-year-old girl who was hit by a car north of Invercargill earlier this month has died.
The crash at Thomsons Crossing happened shortly before 2:30pm on Saturday, September 10 when Jessica Rose Robson pulled out of a paddock on a 50cc motorcycle and collided with a car on Thompsons Crossing Rd West.
She was taken to Invercargill Hospital with serious head and leg injuries, and later transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland.
She died there on Saturday.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Police say their thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
