A 45-year-old man thought to be illegally working as a bouncer has been charged with assault following an incident outside the Le Box Nightclub on Karangahape Rd last month.
The Mangere man was caught on camera punching another man to the ground on August 21.
He's been charged with assault with intent to injure, and he's also been charged for operating as a crowd controller employee without a current certificate of approval.
He will be appearing in Auckland District Court on September 8.
Police are unable to comment further on the matter.
