Christmas pavlovas around the country may be topped with less raspberries this year after a cold and wet spring caused a shortage.
Berry fruit orchardist Steve McArthur says strawberries are also in short supply, and is encouraging people to limit their fresh fruit demands this week.
"They've got a good crop here, but it's just not quite ready in the amounts that we'd like to be picking before Christmas," says Mr McArthur.
He's blaming a colder and windier spring, with a lot more rain for the later harvest.
Much of the fruit being picked this week has already been pre-sold to regular customers and on Thursday, all berries in the Outram berry farm's public shop sold out within an hour.
It'll be all hands on deck tomorrow, picking as much ripe fruit as possible for the final farmers market on Christmas Eve.
